St. Louis Public Radio and the St. Louis Beacon announced today their intention to explore forming an alliance to better serve the community through journalism.

A letter of intent was signed by Margaret Wolf Freivogel, a founder and the editor of the St. Louis Beacon, and Tim Eby, St. Louis Public Radio general manager.

WGCU Public Media in Fort Myers, Florida is looking for a talented journalist to join its award-winning news team. 

This multi-platform journalist for radio, web and occasionally for TV could also occasionally host a weekly call-in talk show, Morning Edition and All Things Considered as needed.    Excellent story tellers who can produce sound-rich radio, have superior on-air voice quality and experience hosting should apply.

The local Morning Edition host will be a signature voice for regional public radio stations WVTF and RADIO IQ at our Roanoke (VA) broadcast center.  This key position is responsible for seamlessly conveying the sound and approach taken by NPR's Morning Edition in the presentation of locally produced news material as well as announcing during network breaks.  The host will collaborate with our morning news producer to create a highly listenable and engaging program through the careful editing and use of copy and audio, continuity, promos, and interviews.
