A $419,000 grant from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting will be given to NPR to equip 30 stations with enhanced emergency communications systems.  The stations are located across ten Midwest, South Central and Gulf Coast States.  These states usually are hit by very destructive weather.    This is a collaboration between the CPB and the Public Radio Satellite System (PRSS) to assist with public safety.   Learn more about this grant here.
