Did Fat Tuesday keep you from completing your PRNDI Annual Awards entries?  Would another week help?  Well, you're in luck.  The PRNDI Board has voted to extend the deadline (with an additional extension fee added to the pricing) for the PRNDI Annual Awards competition.

The National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE) and Public Radio News Directors Incorporated (PRNDI) are proud to announce that entries are open for the Excellence in Consumer Financial Reporting Award to be presented at the PRNDI Annual Conference in Miami in June of 2017.

NOTE:  THE AWARDS DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED UNTIL MIDNIGHT EASTERN TIME ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 8TH.  ALL ENTRIES NOW INCUR AN ADDITIONAL $5 LATE FEE.

The 2017 PRNDI Awards Contest is now open for entries  For 2017, the PRNDI Board made no changes to the awards categories or pricing.   All entries for this contest must have aired in calendar year 2016.

Public Radio News Directors Inc. and emcee Korva Coleman of NPR handed out 173 awards to 72 organizations at its conference in St. Louis over the weekend for work done at stations and other outlets during calendar year 2015.  The annual PRNDI Awards pit local public radio stations against one another in an effort to find the very best public radio reporting in a variety of categories from Arts Reporting to Spot News.  "This year's competition was fierce with over 1,200 entries submitted," according to George Bodarky, PRNDI President.

The Annual PRNDI Awards Contest is now open for entries for those pieces that aired in calendar year 2015.  We've made a few changes to the contest this year and thought we'd outline those changes here.
