PRNDI Goes to Washington

Jun 16, 2014

The start of PRNDI's annual conference is here.

June 18-21, public radio news directors, editors, and reporters from across the country descend upon NPR's new headquarters at 1111 North Capitol Street, NE, Washington, DC. We'll be staying at the Crowne Plaza in Crystal City, VA. And, yes, there will be a shuttle between the hotel and NPR so you won't miss any of the action.

NPR's Senior Washington Editor, Ron Elving and the original Political Junkie, Ken Rudin, will reunite to pine over the November elections. Keynote speaker Amy Mitchell of the Pew Research Center will update us on the state of the industry. The Capitol Steps will make us laugh.

In breakout sessions, Lakshmi Singh will share some newscast magic, and NPR's Western Bureau Chief Jason DeRose will perform a live edit. There will be tips for covering Congress, and the arts, and smartphone reporting, and collaboration!

And at the awards banquet on Saturday night, we'll celebrate the best in public radio with MC Audie Cornish!!

Check out the full conference schedule, register, and we'll see you there!!!
