PBS North Coast Seeks Executive Director/CEO

PBS North Coast (PBS NC), serving the Northern California Coast, is accepting applications for the position of Executive Director/CEO.  PBS NC seeks an outstanding leader with demonstrated experience in and understanding of public broadcasting and exceptional oral, written, analytical, administrative, financial planning, fundraising and interpersonal skills. 

The successful candidate will be development-oriented and will bring energy and creativity to the challenge of building our membership and providing visibility in the communities we serve.  The candidate must have the vision, enthusiasm, belief in, and understanding of a small public television station and its future in the digital age.

With its studio in Eureka, California, Redwood Empire Public Television operates PBSNC-HD, PBS KIDS, PBSNC-World, PBSNC-Create, and PBSNC-FNX and serves 59,000 viewing households.   PBS North Coast provides both locally-produced and national programming.   The operating budget of the station is approximately $1.8 million.  There are fourteen staff members and a new 20,000 square foot building is on the horizon.

The Executive Director position will be available July 1, 2017.
