Hawai'i Public Radio Seeks President and General Manager

Dec 10, 2015

Hawai'i Public Radio seeks an exceptional, authentic leader.

HPR is near completion of its goal of serving the entire Aloha State with two reliable, high-quality program streams. The news, information, and entertainment we deliver throughout the Hawaiian Islands – across ocean divides, around mountainous terrain – as well as on digital platforms accessible anywhere in the world, is made possible by nearly 12,000 station members and almost two hundred business underwriters.

HPR is proud to be an example of radio’s continuing relevance, but we see ourselves not just in the radio business, rather in the business of building community. Hawai’i Public Radio is what it is because of the communities that support it. Hawaiʻi is often called the melting pot of the Pacific because of the diverse cultures of its residents. We hope HPR's air and outreach events will serve as “meeting places” where the diverse and geographically distant communities that make up this unique state might relate to one another.
