America Abroad Media says Kevin Klose has joined its board of advisors. The president emeritus of NPR, who currently serves as dean of the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland, College Park, brings more than 40 years of experience in public affairs broadcasting and journalism to AAM.

“I am honored to join America Abroad Media’s distinguished board of advisors. Their commitment to producing high-quality international affairs programming that educates and inspires is something I believe to be of critical importance, and I look forward to working to help expand their impact and reach in the years to come.”

Prior to his time at NPR, Klose served as an editor and reporter at The Washington Post for 25 years, and also as president of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty from 1994 to 1997.
