Business Manager

Christine Paige Diers is the Business Manager for PRNDI.  She's worked for PRNDI part-time since 1997, and has become known to many in the organization as "Ma PRNDI."  Christine's day job is as Director of the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame in Sturgis, South Dakota (yes, really).  In a former life, Christine was a public radio news director in Grand Forks, North Dakota, then worked in public relations for city government and for a business incubator.

NHPR is seeking a creative, adventurous and thoughtful reporter to join our newsroom as a General Assignment reporter with a focus on New Hampshire’s changing demographics. In this position you’ll do a fair share of general assignment reporting, but we’re also looking for someone with a passion for telling stories that explore the social, cultural and demographic evolution of the state.

The Community Idea Stations is seeking a General Assignment Reporter for our FM station 88.9 WCVE. This is a full time position with benefits and reports to the News Director.

This position will be responsible for covering local City Council, School Board, and Board of Supervisors meetings and other topics as assigned. The default shift would primarily be afternoon to late evening but may frequently involve some daytime hours. This position may also host occasional news programs as needed.

KMUW seeks two enterprise News Reporters: 1) to cover General Assignments stories and Education News; 2) to cover Energy & Environment News stories, in Wichita and Kansas. (See descriptions below.) KMUW seeks always to report news with integrity, fairness, accuracy and civility. North Carolina Public Radio-WUNC, the public radio station licensed to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, is hiring a Music Producer/Librarian to work on the station’s new music discover HD2 and online stream.

Public Radio News Directors Incorporated presented its annual awards at a banquet honoring the best in public radio reporting on Saturday, June 24th, 2017.  The awards are designed to honor the very best reporting in a wide variety of categories.

The membership of the Public Radio News Directors Incorporated elected two new board members and re-elected two other members to their seats at its annual business meeting on Saturday, June 24th.  Treasurer Rachel Lindley was re-elected to another two year term on the board, as was Large Station Representative Teresa Collier. 

Thanks to everyone who attended the 2017 PRNDI Conference.  The conference concluded Saturday night with the awards banquet honoring the very best in Public Radio reporting.   Al Letson of Reveal took the podium as the emcee for the evening.
